OH, Columbus - Eddie Rickenbacker chapter:

contest. The IPMS Columbus Chapter was named in honor of Columbus, Ohio
native Eddie Rickenbacker, the United States' ranking ace in World War
I. Chartered in 1965, IPMS Columbus is a strong, active chapter which
hosted the 1973 National Convention, numerous Region 4 Regionals. Most
recently we hosted the 1997 IPMS National Convention, the 2000 Region 4
Convention. and the 2009 IPMS National Convention.
OH, Dayton: Dayton Area Plastic Modelers:
Dayton Chapter of the International Plastic Modelers Society is the
oldest continuously functioning IPMS chapter in the United States,
having been organized in July, 1968 and receiving its charter in
September of that year. Dayton IPMS members are a mixture of modelers
from all walks of life -- military and civilian, tradesmen,
professionals, students, and retirees.

Virginia Modelers is a chartered chapter of the International Plastic
Modelers Society/USA branch. The chapter, which founded over 15 years
ago, was the Chapter of the Year for Region 2 in 1990 and 97, and for
all of IPMS/USA for 1990. The chapter boasts a membership of more then
100 members and grows every month. A typical meeting is attended by 75
- 80 members (that's a lot of experience). Membership in IPMS/USA is
not required to attend meetings, but is encouraged ("help your society
