Don Allen's Nose Art: This a the complete collection of nose art from Don Allen, a ground crewman with the 4th Fighter Group's 334th Squadron. Through much of World War II, he painted artwork at the request of his squadron's pilots on the various aircraft types the squadron flew over the three years it was deployed to England with the 8th Air Force. Bookie's Focke-Wulf 190 / Ta 152 Page: The museum wing of QVAG, the Australian Flying Museum (AFM) resulted from a meeting held in the mid 1980's. It was recognised that there was a large group of vintage aircraft enthusiasts who would never own their own vintage aircraft. It was also recognised that a very large aircraft was unlikely to be restored by a private individual, but was possible to be preserved. by a museum body. It was determined that the AFM would be a 'public benefit body in that any aircraft it owned or operated, would be on the basis, that they were owned or operated by QVAG/AFM and not by individuals.
